Shenzhenbay City Exhibition Center
Location:Shenzhen, China
Client: CR Land
Project category: Interior design
Situated in the China Resources Tower, a landmark building in the shape of a bamboo shoot in the Shenzhen Bay, the project enjoys the world's best scene resources and content experience beyond the 20-kilometer coastline outside the glass curtain wall. As the urban living room connects the city context, it blends the horizon line, skyline, seascape, and cityscape.
Glass of different textures wraps the entrance corridor, where the projected waves scattered subtly at random to mix with light, shadow, and sound that are infinitely close to nature.
The linear strip lights guide the path inward and deep. When the light source changes from romantic dark blue to bright mode, the soft white light penetrates through the metal screen and sprinkles on the floor. Under the azure lighting rendering, walking there is like stepping on the rolling waves under the shining sloping roof. Eye-catching and harmoniously integrated into this background, the only leading part is the suspended model of the coastal plot, which acts as a dynamic sculpture with avant-garde visual media. Inspired by the lanterns hanging on both sides of the gates of ancient Chinese houses, the symmetrical juxtaposition of two strings of jade-like lantern-shaped round lights blend traditional oriental aesthetics and contemporary design with a minimalist, gentle language, creating a social life corner independent from the main exhibition area.
The space interface is formed by the exquisite and restrained timber veneer with subtle natural patterns like the veins of jade, which reveals the moon white in natural light and creates a tender homey atmosphere under the warm lighting at night. Unpretentious and luxurious, the furniture adopts low-saturation colors, simple lines, clear contours, and high-quality fabrics.
The continuous and complex scene unfolds in the simple layout, in which the framed window view hides the metal frame of the building to the greatest extent as if the boundary of the beautiful coastline is touchable. Without leaving any traces, the designers delicately interweave light and shadow, materials, technology, and art into the depth and precision of space presentation, conveying the ultimate quality of space and life.
